Has anybody used THE BEAST REACTION SUN SHELL??
It is from transmissioncenter.net also waht about th 13 vane pump and rotor kit, also about the wider kevlar 2-4 band. I have been looking to purchase these for a while but if anybody has any comments or complaints please tell me here before I purchase.

I am still letting others do the 'Learning Curve' on the Beast but so far I have heard very good things about it.
Skip that band.
The 13V is OK but not neccesarily required. The 10 is fine also. In fact, I once built a 700 for a '77 Monte that I had and I used the 7V that came in the dreaded '82 core I was using. I have two comments about it: A) It would supply oil W/No drop in pressure even at a hot idle-trust me, that is good, and B) I know for fact that it is in it's 3rd vehicle now and over 200K so don't believe all the hype about the higher vane count. What made it work like that was the fact that I spent allot of time getting the clearances down to a minimum and that is what makes a pump efficient, regardless of the vane count.

Thanks alot I appreciate all the help you guys have given me in the past. Any other suggestions to what else I should do to my tranny, it is going behind a (according to desktop dyno) 430 hp motor and 507 lbs of torque. I have aleady ordered the pump kit and the THE BEAST sunshell, it also has the Transgo shift kit TRG700 from Summit installed in it, I am also going to install the 3-4 clutch pack springs or the extra ones transgo supplied since it is apart. It is also going to get a b&m supercooler and a stall converter of about 2500-3000 rpm stall, (not B&M) was thinking of TCI but what are your opnions I have about 3-400 dollars to spend on it but then again I also want a good one, I am also rettaining the lockup part of it too. It will see occasional 250 mile trecks across Iowa to visit parents and will be my daily driver (good weather) during Spring thru Fall. It will for now have the 3.27 gears in the rear and sometime down the road I will put in 3.73's. That should about cover everything about it. It is a 87 700R4 code on the trans is 7YMM133A. Thanks ALOT

The proper stall speed depends completely on the power band of your engine. This means that if you have an engine that starts to "pull" at say, 2100 RPM and you have a 1600 stall converter, your performance off of the line will not be at it's best. On the other hand if you put in a 2400 or 3000 stall you will be wasting expensive power, since the converter won't be passing the maximum power to the tranny until later in the power band. In the example I used, a 2000 stall would be ideal since you will "flash" up a little bit on take off. You will then be at the optimum take off RPM. Sometimes too, people have the proper stall converter for the engine combo but have the wrong rear end gears to fully utilize the power.

The cam card specified a stall of at least 2500 rpm. The cam is a comp cam hyd roller .510 lift and 220 intake and 230 exhaust duration at .50 lift. The hads will be dart iron eagle 200 cc intake and 64 cc chambers with 10.8 comp ratio. Can we say no more pump gas!!
