Building a 9". Ignoring the torque arm, I'm thinking of keeping the pinion centered in the same location as the 10 bolt (as in, the same distance from the control arm mount to the pinion). I have dual 3" exhaust very close to the driveshaft, and the exhaust hanger bolted to the seat belt mount in the floor pan, so I think an offset pinion would crash into stuff. I'm using a jegster torque arm, and I was thinking of just fabricating a replacement using two heim joints mounted on the top and bottom of the pumpkin.
Anyone think of any reason why I couldn't mimic the same pinion centerline as the 10 bolt?
