700r4 Converter Spacing

Axle/Gears: Borg Warner 9 Bolt, 3.27 gears
700r4 Converter Spacing
I have a Hughes 22-25L converter on a 700r4. It installed with 3 clicks (steps) and I verified 1.125 to the bell housing flat. I then measured spacing is .2187 with it all the way rearward. I saw ideal spacing front he back is 1/8 but I only have .125 and .07 spacers. I assume I should go .125 for spacing?

Don't overthink it. There's a REAL wide tolerance on that. There merely needs to be "enough" space that the pump is never bottomed, but not "too much" such that the converter can lose engagement. The depth of the notches is like 3/8" or so (.375") so there's PLENTY of wiggle room.
Note also, that the converter will only pull out just so far before it bottoms into the crank pilot. IOW, depending on your particular flywheel, it might "look like" you have .2187" (no idea how you can measure that down to the ten-thousandth of an inch and come up with the same number out to that many decimal places on all 3 bolts when all it is, is a piece of sheet metal, butt w/e), but when you pull the converter as far forward as it can go, you may find you still have A WHOLE BUNCH of space left. In which case, when you tighten the bolts, the converter won't move out anymore; rather, the flywheel will bend back toward it, making it a sort of spring holding the TC solidly up into the crank and out of the pump, by some amount MUCH less than what you've "measured" so far.
Check it that way and see how much space you've REALLY got. I'm betting you'll be just fine without any spacers at all.

lol well I just calculated 7/32 drill bit which is .21875.
I will check the spacing pulled forward tomorrow as suggested and see when its bottomed out on the crank and what it ends up.
After reading a couple folks say use 1/8 shims but have 1/8 spacing that maths out to 1/4 which is more than I have so was wanting to make sure I had enough room on the rear as not to bottom out on the pump.
