Torque arm mounting
Guys I hope someone can tell me how critical the mounting position of the torque arm is . I purchased an American Powertrain kit that includes the cross member where the front of the torque arm mounts . It looks like the front of the torque arm mounts to the outside of the supplied custom mount. Would it be possible to move the front the torque arm to the inside of the mount ? There’s only about an inch or two difference sideways between the two locations! Thanks

Anything is possible but you will be sideloading the connection which could cause failure.

Re: Torque arm mounting
An inch or two lateral would be less than two degrees of a t.a.-as-radius flat circle. Not critical.
If you tighten the rear 2 t.a. bolts last, you'll be fine. If you don't trust that, open up the t.a. holes lightly until there's no resistance to being placed in the inboard spot.
