How much power you making?

Short of expensive custom converters, TCI is likely the best among the off-the-shelf brand names. You can give them a call on their tech line and they'll set you up. Don't paw through the Summit Racing magazine or you'll continue to have the same problems.

Unless your 60' time is of supreme importance, a custom high dollar converter is a waste of money.

When I was hanging out with the mustang crowd alot, lots of people were having problems with TCI converters. I havent exactly heard too many good things about them here either.

Personally I would save my pennies and get a vigilante.

Like anything else, if you get the wrong one you'll have trouble. I suggest they didn't know how to pick 'em.

Actually the converters were picked by TCI.

Not too impressed with their parts.

If you are looking for a good torque converter that will, (1) Give you the torque multiplication you want/need, (2) Handle 800+ horsepower, (3) Give you the stall you need/want, (4) Lose 15-17lbs in torque converter weight, thereby increasing the life of the transmission substantialy, (5) One year warranty with a free stall change if necessary, (6) All this for $545.00. Check out there web-site if you want it is www.actperformance.com I am a distributor for there TC's, if you have any questions about this, let me know?
