I was cruising in a parking lot at about 10 miles an hour and just got the urge to rev at these people who were taking their sweet a$$ time getting out of my way... so I throw the shifter up and I guess I must have been pushing the button down cause it went one too far into reverse... I got thrown forward and my tires started hopping and thats about when I freaked and pulled it back down into drive...

The people didn't notice BTW...

So what could I have possibly done to the ol' trans? it's pretty much junked as it is... but what more could I have done to it... it still shifts fine...

 

I accidentally did that in my mini-van. It had a column shifter and it just moved it up one notch too far. Scared the crap out of me. The transmission still worked so I just didn't worry about it.

 

I've done that, but not by accident.. in a parking lot.. I pulled out, and someone else decided to do the same and almost hit me.. I threw it into reverse and stepped on it.. smoke everywhere.. was kinda cool ( don't usualyl do burn outs.. don't want to wreck the tires).. I got the other drivers attention. and everyone else in the area.. no problems since then..
