Heard growling from the TC/flexplate area, found flexplate cracked in several areas:
1)could this cause the severe vibrations I hear/feel at take-off, under a load, and at upper speeds?
2)if I put in nuetral and rev, I get a large vibration coming from below the shifter
3)can my TC be shot to hell?
4)the trans was fine and shifted perfectly (700R4)

yep, a flexplate will do all of that. i got my 86 ta for $600 because of a spun bearing which i knew was a cracked flexplate. get a new one, install it right and have fun.
