I have a 1992 camaro Rs and was wondering what kind of transmission do I have? and how much does a shift kit and or a stall converter cost? And finally is it hard to put these in?
thanks for the help.

Well since your asking I'm assuming it's an automatic, in which case you have a 700-r4. Shift kit is less than 50 bucks and easy as pie to put in. Torque converter runs anywhere from 200 to 800 bucks ( and you pretty much get what you pay for, though shop around) and you have to drop the tranny to get at it, fairly major PITA, and pretty much all day if you don't have a lift and tranny jack. If your running a stock engine, I'd wait on the converter til you do some mods to change the powerband, but the shift kit do right away.

it is a 700r4

A stall converter for your car will cost at least 215$$, I have been looking around for 1 myself.
A shift kit wil cost proly around 50-100$$ or so.

That is just the cost of the parts.
