can someone explain "stall" when referring to a torque converter,
In laymans terms please

I am asking just so I can say I know !!!

It's basically the RPM that the TC "grabs" at. A higher stall speed lets the engine rev up to it's powerband before transferring that power to the rear wheels. Read <a href="http://www.racer-x.f2s.com/proc/tcexp.htm">this</a>, and you shall learn.
