T56 and SB400

I have a built 400 and a GM Performance Parts flywheel for it(externally balanced). Will the T56 work with that flywheel? Every swap article says to use the T56 flywheel. Is it different than other flywheels? Thanks

If your trying to use a stock T-56 you will have to get an aftermarket flywheel, figure $500 for a centerforce wheel.

If your swapping in an aftermarket T-56 all you need is a 153 externally balanced, the same one you would use for a T-5, or you can get the lakewood scattershield and use whatever flywheel and clutch assembly you want as long as it has 26 splines on the clutch disc.
