Limited Slip ????
Hi people ! , I need info, I got an 89 RS TBI (it's now an Lt1, anyway) I know I have 2.73 but how can I tell if it's limited slip ???
what's the difference between limited slip and posi ??? I was told it was the same thing, is that true ????
both tire spins without problem with the lt1 but the old 305 made only the right one spin...
Thanks

Posi(positraction, positive traction) is GM's name for limited slip. You probably have an open rear(non-posi). If you have enough power and the traction on both wheels is about equal you can do a 2 wheel burnout with an open rear. Before the powertrax install I used to do it quite often. Jack the rear end up and give it a tire a spin. I'll bet it spins easy with the tranny in park and the other wheel spins opposite. If you want to be sure you can open up the diff and take a look. Unless it's a B4C RS, I've never seen posi in an RS.
