Shift Kit or not?

Ok, here's the deal. I was thinking about getting a shift kit for my 91 Bird with an 305 TBI. But if I hold 1st gear at about 2000-2500 rpm at part throttle, it gets a pretty snappy shift into second and I used to squack 1st to 2nd on a regular basis when I was running 235/6015's at WOT. So I'm not sure if it might already have a shift kit in it? I really haven't ridin in any other similiar setup thirdgens to compare it to. Does anyone know if this is how the stock setup is supposed to shift with a tight tranny? But one thing that leads me to believe that it doesn't have a kit in it is that I bought it with only 39,000 miles on it when it was 7 years old which makes me think it was an old persons car(especially living in SW FL.) Plus, it was completely bone stock, no aftermarket radio, no window tint, and absolutely nothing under the hood was touched(until I got my hands on it ofcourse), and I don't think that most people would skip the simpler, more easy stuff and go right for the tranny. Any input would be appreciated.

Get a kit. Go with a Trans-Go. Cheaper kits are just gonna put pressure on parts that arent supposed to have more pressure.

Trans-Go!!!!!

You wont regret it & your tranny will thank you!

I agree with StrokedZ. I've never heard a negative word against the Trans-Go kit. Everybody I've talked to swears by them. I'm about to put one in my Camaro this weekend.

By the by, that is a sweet looking Bird you have there Tom91Bird. Beautiful!
