alright today was not my day to start off with. this morn i was running late to class and was doin bout 70 to school this morn. i get out of class and the car will only shift into second with a big jerk and then it wont go into third. at first it did and then in 4th it would like switch into N then back into 4th. then i had a stop sign and it would not go into 3rd. i figured the clutches are shot and i need a rebuild right? what could have done this to my tranny so i dont do it next time. i have a 350 behind it but not all that much power to blow the tranny. seeing how the mounts are different is it hard to swap a turbo 400 in place of the 700r4? i have one in my back yard from the el camino. thanx

 

how hard is it to rebuild a tranny urself? to hard even with a chilton or book explaining how to. i figure i need to have it done and i want to learn. is it to hard for me? and what spline is my tranny. i was looking at some kits and it is either 27 or 30. which one is it.
