I have an 87 Z28 auto 5.0L. Been having shifting problems. Someone told me that it sounded like the modulator valve? Can't seem to find alot of info on the subject. Found some info at the Autozone website. Has anyone else had modulator problems? It doesn't sound as if it is hard to replace. I just can't seem to find any specific Z28 info. Thanks for your help.

 

Your '87 doesn't have a modulator or a modulator valve.
It's common for the tv valve to stick, what are it's symptoms?

 

Sorry it took me so long to get back. Been out of town. The problem is starting out, I have to get the rpms up to about 3500 before it will shift out of 1st. Shifting into 2nd at about 3000 after that it shiifts ok. If I let the rpms drop it down shifts immediately and thew process starts all over again.
