What year 700r4 can I choose from?
Need a new tranny.Going to get one from the junkyard for now.Car is a 84 and has non electronic 700r4.Which years can I go up to before they turn to electronic?I can get one from a 88 astro van.Will this one work for me?(after i change the tailshaft)

Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 307
93+ are 4l60E-Electronic. Anything 92 and older will work fine. Shoot 88-92 as your target years because they have had most of the bugs worked out.
