Quickie ?'s on T5 Swap

Doing the swap pretty soon.... have a parts car.... can i keep the flywheel that came outta the 700R4 car? Also, do u guys recommend a Centerforce clutch? Or will a stock replacement suit my needs just fine. Mods in the sig....not a ton of power.... so do i really need a nasty clutch?

That's not a flywheel for the 700R4, it's a flex plate. Won't work. Your gonna need a flywheel. But if you have a complete parts car with the T5 still in it. You should be able to use that flywheel. Make sure you get the flywheel turned first. Get the Centerforce. It's a good clutch. That's what I got. What year is your parts car? If it's 1985 and before your gonna need a flywheel for a one piece rear main.

Okay that's what i thought.... i didn't know the exact difference between flywheel/flexplate. Anyway, I don't know the year of the parts car. The car is owned by a guy I know and its been sitting in his yard .. forever... so basically he said I can take whatever I want off of it. I guess i'll have to find that out before I start the project. How much do the centerforce's run? Hopefully their not tooo expensive.. but if you say they're that good.. then I'll go with it. Also, while I have the tranny out.. are there any other items I should replace? I'm def. putting in a poly tranny mount but are there any other things I should replace? Thnx again

I bought the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, it was $300. Make sure that parts car isn't a V6. If it is, forget about it. Won't fit.
I have a T5 setup. I just pulled it out of my car about an hour ago. I'm pulling the motor and putting new heads and more stuff on it then going back to the TH350 for racing. Since my flywheel won't work on your car I'll sell it for $500 then you'll just have to get a flywheel. I have everything you need for the swap.
