aluminum driveshaft needs to be longer?

I am swapping to a TH-350 on my car and I am working out the driveshaft issues. Is it possiable to make an aluminum driveshaft longer or would I need to find a steel driveshaft and then have it made longer?

I also was wondering if if the aluminum driveshaft would be fine for about 600hp and 700fpt.

The problem is this, no driveshaft can be made longer. You have three options.
1. Get a custom made driveshaft of the right length.
2. Get a driveshaft that is too long and have it shortened.
3. You might get lucky and find one of the right length already available.

You need to get a drive-shaft from and 82 camaro with and automatics tranny. They can with the th-200c which is the same length as a th-350.

How did they do it?
Weld a piece of tube onto it?
I'd like to know.

This is funny, you want to run 600 hp through a butchered driveshaft?
Why not buy one of the proper length? :sillylol:
