I just put in a 2600 stall 9.5 inch and i took it out and first to second is a wimpy shift but ok but then when it gets up to 3000 to shift to 3rd it'll shift and the rpms will not change and when it shift and i give it gas the rpms will scream but i wont go anywhere like the converter is locked up. TV cable is adjusted correctly. Right amount of fluid is in there. any other suggs? Could over fill of tranny fluid do this? tranny has 68,000 on it. Thanks 700r4

 

I did have to take off the TV cable and when i put it back on to readjust it it was VERY tight when trying to pull the cable. Then all of a sudden it was easy. Think that was messed up?

 

That's a possiblility i'd check that out and make sure the cable didn't snap anywhere. Putting too much fluid will also cause a problem similar to having not enough fluid, because the fluid will begin to get air bubbles in it and that's no good.
