Th350 and 3.73's?
I have 2.73's in my '82 Camaro and I want to go to 3.73's. Is this wise? The car only gets driven in town and I only built it for light to light stuff. Also right now I have a TH200 tranny, I am swapping in a built TH350 from a '79 T/A but I need to know if these tranny's are the same length or not and what other parts I may have to have made to make the swap work. My car's description is on the link provided(if it worked)

A th-350 is a bolt in for the th-200c they have the same dimensios. The only thing you will need i a torque arm bracket from B&M or Hurst. I don't even have a bracket and did some mods and fabrication on mine to make it really stiff.

Yep, it will fit right in if it's a 6 inch tailshaft Chevy bolt pattern. A 79 T/A will most likely have a 400 Pontiac engine(or other pontiac engine). If that's the case, make sure the th350 has a dual bolt pattern. The BOP pattern is different than Chevy and won't bolt up without an adapter plate. Then check the tailshaft length.

I had 3.73 behind my th200 for awhile, its fine around town, but highway driving sucks, I was revving at over 3grand to go 100km.
the TH350 would definatly be stronger than a 700r though especially a built one.
