Posi or not Posi....

Ok..... I just got through jacking the rear of my car up with two hand jacks (pita) to see whether or not my 3.08 rear is open or posi. I cant really do the spin test cause my t5 is almost outta here. When I spin one tire, the other rotates in the same direction. Even when I switch directions quickly they both do exactly the same thing. Seems open and shut huh? I let the drivers side down and tried turning the passenger side and it turned, not easily, but with a lotta umphh it did turn. Since the drivers side was on the ground is it supposed to turn? I thought if it was posi it wouldnt turn at all? But they still turn the same direction and not oposite each other. Really confused, please help!!

Sounds like posi. Don't trust the burnout method--I used to do 2 tire burnouts with an open rear. With one tire on the ground the other will spin easy with an open rear. Posi will have some resistance, but it can turn(this is how it lets your car corner). Pull the cover and change the fluid--check for sure while your inside.
