i got 84 Z28... original tranny and fairly stout 350 sbc... my tranny has just gotten to where it won't shift out 1st until about 4500 rpms... it shifts in all the other gears like it has shift kit.. i know it doesn't have one in it... could this mean i'm gonna be looking for a new tranny soon.... any of you tranny guru's have any ideas???
also i found a guy who would build me 700r4 for about 550 bucks... he said it has heavy duty clutches..10 vane pump.. all the stuff... does this sound to cheap??? everywhere else I've been looking at over $900... ya'lls help is greatly appreciated.

that's kinda what i thought too... i bought acouple quarts but i haven't put them in yet... i haven't been driving it regularly
