Custom Built rear

How much would it cost to have a shop build me a 9 or 12 Bolt rear? TO stand say 600 HP worth?
I see already built ones for around $2,000 would this be typical?
And if I remember right these were wo/ brakes.
Or should I just get a forth gen rear and by new wheels and front spacers?

Last question, How much power can the 3rd gen 9-bolts (Borg-Warner) take?

easiest thing to do would be to buy a 9" or 12 bolt from moser, over 2000 i'm sure. you aren't going to find too many shops that will want to relocate all the brackets to a 12 bolt or 9" and fabricate something for the torque arm as well.

The bw 9 bolts are supposed to be able to take quite a bit. Talk to 88 427 CAMARO. He said he has been running a stock 9 bolt behind a 500hp 520lb 427 for I think over 3 years.

Would the brackets be the same form a 9" Borg warner as on my 92RS? Or would they have to be relocated?

It is a 9 bolt, not a 9 inch, and it is a direct swap. The brackets are the same.
