where's everyone at

Just adjusted my TV cable and now my 1st shift is at 1900 and the second shift is about the same rpm. I adjusted it the way that transfixleo said so it must be right. Question is, where is everyones shift points at? Is this where the tranny should be shifting. The reason I ask is because now the shift is really hard. Could my tranny be going bad and have been out of adjustment so long that now it wont shift if adjusted properly. Tranny has 60800 miles on it.

Mine shift points are messed up do to my governor, but 1900 is way too early, I'd readjust it again.

Just to clear something up. My first shift point at 1900 is not at wot, it is just at a normal take off. So is that to early for a normal take off. I know, define normal, but you get the picture I hope

The TV cable shouldn't be adjusted for optimum "normal" takeoff. The light throttle shift rpm is going to vary car to car. 1900 sounds feasible though.
