Greetings from a wet and windy Scotland,
Having just purchased a rebuild kit for my 700r4 as fitted to my 86 IROC, I would be gratefull for any helpfull hints, or usefull bits of info regarding the rebuild, before I start.
You know the sort of thing, jack the car up 1st or remove the tranny 1st are not really what I`m looking for, more sort of unforseen events or exp help.

Get a hold of Dana at probuilt automatics at 1-800-776-3288. He is out of california. I am currently rebuilding my 700r4 out of my 84 GMC JIMMY and I called him up and he told me about all of the goodies that you would need tomake this a very nice and strong tranny.
