Hey guys, I just replaced my 5- speed transmission. And I was wandering, in general, if yall could help me out. When I let off of the clutch it rattles the entire car really bad, then once the clutch engages fully it smooths out and drives great. Is there something that I could have done wrong when we put the tranny on? We didnt mess with any of the clutch stuff, but I didnt think that the clutch was bad, I didnt have any problems with it until the tranny went bad. Thanks yall for your help

mine does the same shaking thing, it shakes the whole car violently sometimes. It still does it after replacing the clutch disc. I thought it was a tranny mount problem but no, I replaced it with an energy susp. unit and still have the same prob. Maybe the motor mounts? Any other ideas please?

 

id go back in and retorque the flywheel and the pressure plate. then if that didnt fix it id look at the mounts

 

i've heard that a worn pilot bearing/bushing can cause vibration
