Borg Warner Rear End?? 89GTA

I noticed a "Borg Warner" stamped on the underside of my rear
differential. Did GM do this for all f-body vehicles? Are they the specific supplier for GM rearends?

Mine has the BW also. My brother's 90 TA though had a 10 bolt.

Would RPO codes tell anything about the rearend?

I lost my RPO codes. I wonder if that tells about "BorgWarner" on rearend?

It's the Borg Warner 9 bolt rear end. It was the high performance option for 3rd gens in the late '80's and much stronger than the 10 bolt. You can find more information and parts availability at www.9bolt.com
