If I got a higher stall TC, and my 166k mile tranny died, would it take the TC w/ it?

I'm not really in a situation where I can get a rebuild for my 166,000 mile tranny right now.....although it's in perfect working order right now, however I do wanna go ahead and get a higher stall TC....should I wait for a rebuild or until I buy a new tranny?? Thanks

If the tranny pukes it will send metal fragments and debris
through the system, including into the converter.

When you put that converter in a new tranny it will send all of it's
contents into the new tranny and contaminate it.

Do both at the same time.
