is it the TC or trans going out??

700r4 1989 formula in drive with foot on the break the car seems to want to keep going ,and i dont have cruse control but sometimes my car acts like it when i take my foot off the accelerator at slower speeds (35 and under).it seems to be shifting ok 1-2 2-3 etc. under normal driving however

i also notice when i get on the gas hard from a stop it seems to tach up to about 5500 but shifts easy like a clutch slipping on a manual trans but not all the time.

i dont know squat about auto trans so any help is greatly app.

The lockup solinoid is sticking not releasing the converter clutch.
It can be swaped be dropping the pan.

THANKS

is there any good parts breakdowns on this, cause i want to change my trans filter anyway .

and am i lookin at big$$$$$
for this.

also i've read about a corvett servo etc. any more help?

i am a virgin when it comes to the trans but im realy interested
in doing this car myself. im not a total idiot when it comes to fixing things and the trans doesnt scare me just like to know what im getting in to before i tear into it.

i was also thinking about a transgo kit i guess this would be a good time for it?
