Over a year ago my tranny went out and local shop installed a rebuilt one (i'm not sure where it's from.) I did notice the shift points were different than the old one though. Anyways, the warranty has now run out, and I am wondering what I can do to make it shift a little firmer and last longer.
I'm not sure about shift kits. I've heard they can be bad on transmissions.
I've seen several people with Corvette Servo listed in their sigs. How do they help?
I've thought about a B&M trans cooler, but I'm not sure if I really need one or not.
I figure I might as well change the fluid with the B&M Trick Shift stuff too.
Just looking for some comments and information. Thanks.

Get a hold of probuilt at www.pro-built.net. Dana recommends Trans Go all the way and this will actually help your trans by actually fixing all of the problems associated with the 700R4 while firming up the shifts. Also I recommend the B&M trans super cooler very strong and almost unbreakable. Also stay away from the trick shift very bad idea, ONLY use Dextron III. Dana recommends Mobile Dextro III not mobil1. The corvette servo provides more clamping force to the 2-4 band ='s better shifts.Good Luck!!

I agree, call Dana, tell him what you've got and what you expect to do. Then do everything he tells you to do.
He'll probably tell you to use AMSOIL ATF if you ask.

My tranny mechanic (who has been working on trannys for 30 something years) won't touch anything from B&M with a 10 ft pole. When I asked him about their shiftkits, he flattly refused to have anything to do with it. He only puts in Transgo.
