Has anyone heard of or used LUK clutches?

I'm getting everything together for my T-56 installation and found someone with a new LUK clutch & PP for $150. It sounds like a good deal, but I am not familiar with that brand. From researching their website it looks like it's an OE replacement, although the seller claims it is stronger than a factory clutch and that he has a friend running one in a car with 400 rwhp with no problems. I feel I would probably be better off to go with my original idea of an LT4 PP & a Mcleod disk because I want something that will last - it's not worth the couple hundred dollars to have to replace the clutch anytime soon. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Shawn

luk is a fairly high quality "factory type" replacement. not a centerforce, but a good clutch nonetheless.

i once had a machinist tell me that GM used LUK-sourced clutches. in some of their cars. this machinist was into fairly high performance vettes and had a luk in the vette.

about all i know, hope that helps.

Good stock replacement clutch. GM used them in some medium duty trucks.
