clutch differences?

The car I have now is a 1992 Camaro with the WC T-5 trans. My clutch is starting to slip under load, and it just so happens that I have a new clutch for a 1986 camaro sitting in my garage. this clutch is intended for the 305 motor also. I checked in the summit to find compatability between my car and this clutch, and it tells me that they are the same from 1984 to 1991. Anyone know why this won't work on my 92?

Thanks guys

I'd say because Summit has no idea what their talking about in this case. It should be identical to the one you have already.

The clutch PP & discs are the same 84-92.
