shop class

what does everyone think of having a shop class rebuild a 700r4 to high performance specs. mine needs to get one and i was thinking on collaborating with probuilt on the rebuild kit and then the transgo manual/auto shift kit. can i trust a shop class to build it right?

thats a question you have to ask yourself. were not the ones that will be stuck with the tranny!!...first thing id do is to see what kind of cirtification the teacher has, and then look into some of the class projects that they have done. if you are acutialy IN the class working on it yourself.......that be a differant story.

I'm always leery with auto transmissions cause there is so much stuff you can screw up with. I wouldnt trust an auto shop class to rebuild your tranny. Hell I wouldnt trust my auto shop to rebuild mine....
