#1 is the 2.8 -> 3.4 long block swap boogie!
#2 is open your wallet wider for same results as swapping in the 3.4.

I dunno, #1 would be damn cool at a good price, but #2 would give you a 9 second 2.8 :lala:

Welcome to the board.

You could do a Ked85 approach and install a 3.4L V-6, it swaps right in, theres an extra 25 hp, and 40 ft/lbs. Heres his swap post https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...apboogie.shtml

You could install
-crowler, crane or ari cam -- Crane and crower are easy to find on search engines (ARI web site http://www.engine-parts.com/GMV6/gm28stroker.html )

-roller rockers

-Ported and polished heads and intake.

-Headers that Camaro_hunter_d is making

-Better exhaust (this should be the second upgrade, recommended by everyone.)

-COMPLETE TUNE-UP This should be the first thing you do. Heres TomP's guide to it https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...ighlight=Major

-Forced induction Turbo, SC etc. No one has done this yet so you will be breaking new ground.

-There there are all sorts of little mods that people do. K&N filter ram air setups, TB bypass, better ignition etc. There are other mods than can be found on the homepage.

Hope this helps

id like to go with # 3....

welcome to the board
hey i have the same car...

u can start by cutting the bottom of ur airbox...open ur airbox where the airfilters go in...cut the bottoms of the airbox...ull have 2 of them...ull definitely notice an improvement..then next u can go and buy 2 K&ns to go in there instead of ur regular filter

after that u can do a lot of other mods...

buy a 4.3 v6 and matching tranny out of an early 90's caprice (old body style) and put it in. you can get alot of parts for it and you can supercharge it for under $3000. hot runner on a v6, custom setup, and you will keep up with, if not beat, a GT.

And the best part...telling the GT owner it is a v6.
