With a stock 2.8, hell no! If you add alot of mods to it, hell yes. My 92 3.1 auto can get side ways on dry pavement any day even with the cam screw up, but I have ZR rated tires and lots of mods too. When I get it(cam) fixed in 2 weeks and the headers on I'm so pumped to see how crazy she'll get.
I did a burnout in my neighborhood in front of my cusion's house while he was outside !
This old lady came out of her house:nono: and he told her "uhh he needs to be arrested er I mean he has a real bad oil leak
!" When I looked back after driving off I could see alot of smoke (almost like the burnout box at the track!) , I was like
I CANT BELIVE I DID THAT !!!!!

This is the stupidest thing I've ever read....you can get ANY car to spin the tires w/ enough effort. As for a 2.8, the easiest way is a line lock, but you could power brake or do doughnuts, but not as effectively.....the key to a really smokey burnout is to attain higher RPM's. The idiots that keep it in first gear are just wasting their time....let your car shift or shift it yourself....the faster you get the tires going, the more smoke comes out. I have a vid of a Camry doing a complete 2 minute burnout wasting a full tire and leaving a cloud that lingered and drifted for 10 minutes blocking out a section of highway.

I was channel hopping one day on T.V. and watched a burnout contest where they were trying to catch the pavement on fire .Sometimes when you do if for long enough you can catch the pavement on fire , (a small fire ) ....Don't try this at home , or on a city street for that matter :sillylol:

Oh, damn, dude, you made me choke on my coffee. That's the funniest thing I've seen in a while; I needed that laugh! (And I'm sure glad that (A) coffee didn't go all over my new computer and (B) nobody came over to see why I was choking!)
People have told me that just by following my major tuneup guide (do a search for it), they've been able to peel out.
One more thing- no neutral drops!!!
