smog pump craziness

I saw on a web page that some dude had been using a smog pump almost like a turbo or blower or something, he had it rigged up blowing into his intake (it wasnt a camaro). Is there some crazy way to do this to the 2.8 mp? Or am i just being stupid? (I don't know much about smog pumps)

No,
The smog pump does not function as a supercharger.
IF THEY DID, I CAN PROMISE YOU, back when they were first introduced in the 60's/70's, everyone would NOT have REMOVED them.
Smog pumps originally thought of as a parasatic loss (minus 3-5 HP for using a smog pump while drag racing)
Times changed.
You loss HP but, BFD
You pass smog easier.
Yeah, I wish I could remove mine but in CA.....
I gotta wait until 2013 for that privlidge on my S-10 Blazer.
Of my 5 cars, I own 3 cars/1 motorcycle outta smog testing:rockon:
85 Firebird & 85 Blazer still get smogged.
That's why I do the smog legal 3.4 swaps.
No one knows.......works out easiest!
Again, I'm in CA, things different.

I was just B.S. ing about the smog pump / supercharger thing - It just struck me funny to think of all those little pumps stuck on an engine - OK, so my head is warpped -
Can't be serious ALL the time - your face will crack.
