taking out engine 2.8 need help FAST

I've got a 84 2.8. Threw a rod. Putting in a 2.8 from an s10. I want to by pass the computer and use NO emissions. What harness do I cut out for all the emissions and computer sensors etc? I'm going to use the carb and dizzy from the s10. Also, do you just take the computer out and put the wires into eachother?

jon

I want it to be as simple as possible

Is the carb from the S10 a feedback carb? If it has an M/C solenoid, how do you expect to ditch the computer?

Well, for one thing, DAN IS RIGHT!
Meaning, you in CA or 49 states?
CA models DO HAVE COMPUTERS ON THE BLAZERS!
I understand that even the carb'd CA Blazers models were that way.
MY 85 FEDERAL VERSION 2.8 Blazer does not, tho.
I have NO computers at all.
Nor ANY wires for a computer.
I have the guage package dash and the wires that run from engine sensors to the firewall.
On your 1984 F Body platform, you only have a few wires from the carb to distributor to a "brain" to help keep carb at proper 14.7 air/fuel ratio.
You really shouldn't have any true problem hooking up a Blazer carb & distb in the F body.
Don't worry about the F-body wires.
Just match wires til you have left over, then cut them.
Simple.
BUT DAN IS RIGHT, also.
And it's "your style" that may prevent you from getting any further help, here, too.

That looked like help to me.

Cali, I guess he doesn't know what carb he has, and you made him upset. He's not going to have a simple swap!

in my opinion the simplist way would be to keep the computer and put the fuel injected intake on the s-10 motor, you won't have quite as much power though cause the camaro 2.8 had a more aggressive cam than in the blazers.
