2.8/3.1 max displacement?

I've got a 3.1 and I wanna tune the engine up..no, not replace it with a 3.4...I thought about it but I wanna keep the original engine for this model car..plus my engine is still as good as mint. So...question is...how much will this thing bore? About how many cubes? With the 3.1, it's 191 cid... I'm thinking something in the 200's would look much nicer....

THAT'S IT? Well, I can see why I never hear about it being done now... That's sad.....

It's not sad. Increasing cylinder bore is usually done so you can re-use an engine with scored cylinder walls. It's not really done for a performance increase although it can produce gains.

That's true..let me rephrase. It's saddening to me cause I was hoping to push 200 cid. Let me go to my corner and cry now...don't worry..I'll be ok.

Although looking back...200 was a pretty optimistic number.....
