thanx Tony, even though its for a 3.1 it will still need ALOT of fabrication to be put on because its for a FWD motor
still, if someone is willing to invest the time and money into this i'd be more than happy to see the results (and possibly do it to my own car too)

I wouldn't mind having it myself
and I really don't see how a turbo being on a FWD car is going to be much different then a turbo found on a RWD car
still going to be a lot of work since you have to fab the exhaust and everything

a turbo from a FWD car and a RWD car should be the same
only difference is the plumbling as you said
but if the guy is selling on the turbo.... you would have to make it even on a FWD or buy it

(it seems people are having a hard time reading into things latley
)if you were to you use that on a FWD 60* V6 you can most likey call a few junkyards, go the dealship parts window and get 99.99% of all the parts you'll need
now try to do that for a RWD 60* V6
not that simple....now is it?

not at all.................
the RWD vs. FWD 60* V6 motors are completely different
the bracketry for front accessories is not the same
plus, they never made a RWD turbo 60* V6
if they did, dont you think the 1/2 of us would be running better than 17's?

big issues would be exhaust routing
not the accessories
isn't the TTA a RWD turbo V6... though granted I am not sure how easy a swap would be

just trying to say that it doesn't matter if the car is FWD or RWD
a turbo is going to be the same either way
now if they where selling just the turbo off a TTA does that mean you are not going to have to make all the stuff anyway?
prolly unless you know where to get parts already made
most of the work would be in fab the headers and intake plumbing, there isn't really any bracket's or whatever that I can think of being made since the exhaust is what holds the turbo
thankfully we have a guy here CHD who (well last I heard) was working on making turbo headers for your cars
oh and also I just like to mess with ya guys so don't get frustrated with me aor anyting

you don´t really need one
but if the boost pressure gets high the air when compressed will heat up and make your car more prone to detonation which is not good....

if you plan on running a moderate amount of boost u better intercool it, why do u think hot air GN's aren't that fast and desirable?

does anybody have any idea what all is involved in building a turbo motor? custom exhaust, intake, fuel lines/regulators blah blah blah blah blah, is it worth the hassle for a 60* turbo motor? probably not. go and find a 90* v-6 or something. the buick 3.8's are plentiful, find something with a 14 bolt oil pan in a junk yard, a rebuildable core will probably run you about $150. bolt a turbo on that and you can go 350/400 horse power with out worrying about detenation (when they detenate they tend to through the crank through the oil pan)
find a 20 bolt oil pan and you can go higher in horsepower, but the 20 bolts are much harder to come by (same short block as in the gn and gnx's) i talked to a guy with a gn with turbo, intercooler, blah blah blah, said he was making about 400 horses. people claim to get about 20mpg with these motors if you can keep your foot out of the boost, just some things to think about
