ive had my firebird for awhile its my first car, got it in 1995, went through hell with it, replaced the engine with a rebuilt and the freaking car is still louder than my 305 z28. Noone ever guesses its only a v6. the exhaust is brand new i always wondered why.

 

me and a friend were lookin at this 87 2.8 , it had the stock exhaust on it, it sounded just like a stocker 305. i have never heard a 2.8 sound like that.

my exhaust is getting real loud, i guess the dynomax is breaking in... i love it... its way louder than my dads flowmaster 87 305.
makes ya wonder.

 

are all your pipes new ? the whole exhaust new ?

 

yes the exhaust is brand new, my Y pipe was bent a few mos ago so i decided to replace the entire exhaust. its been like this 7 years its just strange.

 

What systems do both cars have? Or are they generic mufflers?

 

i did have a generic exhaust before now its an edelbroch and it sounds the same.

 

So both cars had generic exhaust systems (muffler & pipes), and now both have Edelbrock systems?
