What's the difference between a 3.1 700R4, and a 5.7 700R4

What's the difference between a 3.1 700R4, and a 5.7 700R4

I might get my hands on a 5.7 one. That's why I wanna know...

Transmission: T-5 & 3.73's

The bolt pattern on the bell housings are different, the V6 ones are smaller.

'fraid not. But if the V8 700 is cheap enough, like $75 or less, buy it anyway and resell it for $125!

For the effort of the insallation, you want to know it'll work right for a long time.
$600 is about average.
