Oh and there is a brand new 12 bolt available; I forget the company. It's basically one of their 12 bolt axles with a special bracket to take our torque arm. Shoot, what's the damn name... they're a popular axle maker. AGH! Oh well, it'll come to me. The axle's also about $3000.
thanks tom...

Read a couple posts before yours, Tom just told us that a aftermarket company does in fact make them, and Teal said its "MOSER", th aftermarket company that makes it. Look into that, as they said its $3000 for the "Whole" rear end, which is very pricey, considering you could get a used one from a junkyard for anywhere from $200 to $400 bucks...

I'm seriously thinking 3:73s. I rarely ever ever ever do any driving above 50 mph. Most of it is stop light to stop light, and the 3:73s would give me a little more 'get up and go'.

It seems most people (like Redraif) who go to the strip finish their e/t at around 80 mph. How much would the 3:73s change that?
Because this fall, I plan on making it somewhat of a V6 drag car.

I think you can even get new axles (by Strange), with the c-clip eliminators, for $600. So figure $600 for axleshafts, $400 for brand new posi, $200 gears, $200 install geras/posi- $1400. Oh and paint that axle up with http://www.por15.com - I did, it's easy to work with, and does an awesome job. (I used their $20 super starter kit, semi-gloss.)
