Silly questions about timing

On the label under the hood where it tells me the timeing, it says 10* (Dr) --- What does the Dr mean, does that mean the timing should be fdone with the car in drive???

Have always wondered about that...

If your car is an automatic, then u must place the car in "D" or DRIVE when you're timing your car. If you got a manual tranny, leave it in nuetral.

Yup, have an automatic

Hey there AntiVTEC,

Yea I have the auto. I always did do it in drive, but I wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly. It doesn't say in any of the books to do it that way.
Thanks.
