I have an 85 2.8 Firebird...here are my problems...whenever I disconnect the battery to do work on the car...the computer of course resets...and my car runs like sh*t after that for a few days...next is when I take off...I hear a loud banging noise from the tranny...internally the guy said nothing is wrong with it...I think its the mount...it definitely feels like the tranny is moving...final problem...the car seems to raise the idle by itself...I know its sposed to do this to warm the car up...but after the car is running...for like an hour...it will raise the rpms say while i am applying the brake...i did have to adjust the idle on it cause it was really really bad before...i did it by the procedure in the book...the factory manual that is...and actually...when i slam it on the highway...i can't get any RPMs out of it...some help would be great cause i know tons of you guyz know much about these as i am still learning...thanx for any help i recieve...
