86 Z28
86 Z28
I found a Mint 86 Z28 in a junkyard. The onmy thing it is missing at this point is one t-top. No dents in anything, no rust, complete brakes, axel, rear, interior.
I noticed this 86Z28 still had it's sway bars and I wanted to put them on my ride if they were going to be an improvement. Also is there anything I might want to consider taking off of it. Pitty I do not have the money to buy the whole car and restore it because with a little compound and wax it would look as good as most camaro's on the road.
I also found a MINT 4 bannger with Ultra Rims and nothing yanked off that either.
All this would go into my ride an 86 2.8 SC camaro.

I just put 36/24mm sway bars on my S.C. (see my post on that adventure). Between the thicker bars, wonderbar and new bushings there was quite a difference. If you grab them, count on the end link bolts snapping off, so its best to just grab th rear one by just removing the brackets behind the wheels. Definately get new bushings and end links. Grab the brackets for the front too, as mine were bent. Also IIRC Z28's hve better steering boxes. Also IMO the louvered hood is a nice touch.
Oh and didn't 4 bangers come with 3.73's?

yeh, pretty sure all those 4 bangers were 3.73 cars, or atleast the manual trannies were, or maybe it was the autos. It's on the board despite which one it is, so check out that car too.

Manual (4-spd) had 3.42 rear gears.

Auto (4-spd) had 3.42 rear gears
This is all according to the tech data at https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml

So the sway bars and steering box would be a nice improvement? Anything else? Anyone in Orlando or Central Florida i can give you the places number and you can get a heck of a deal..
