Can you name it

Does anyone know what this thing in the red circle is. It s left of the brake booster and right of the wiper motor. Thanks.

I'm assuming by the shape of the one relay, at the driver-side-most edge of the firewall, on the bracket, that this is an 87-up car? The relay has a rounded look to it- you won't find that in '86-below cars. I'll assume #2, that it's a Firebird? If so, it's the headlight control unit.

Thanks a lot I really wouldn t have thought of that one.I was always thinking that it had to do something with the ignition but you are right. Thanks again.
PS It s an 1989 Firebird.
