2.8 intake
2.8 intake
I've been looking at my intake (which looks like a pretty decent design for a chainsaw engine), and I can't understand why the bottom of the airbox is closed off. There are 2 vent-looking things on the sides, but the bottom (where the air is coming from) is closed off. Would it hurt anything to cut the bottom of the airbox off or drill holes to try and get more airflow? Or does it really matter since there are 2 filters and only one intake hose anyway? I'm new to this stuff, but I would think that more air is better, so why box it up at the factory.
