Morning Stickshift Syndrome
Yeah, it's a new car disorder, abbreviated as MSS. I think I'm the only documented case.
Ok, so on a cold engine, it's mostly exaggerated on a mild/cold morning...but yeah, the car pretends it's a stickshift. During part throttle, as I accelerate, when the car changes gears, it releases the throttle for a few seconds before opening it back up. Also, the other part of the disease.. When I step on the gas, the car revs up for a second, and then slows back down. It'll do this to 1/2 throttle and even farther..so it basically rejects any pedal I give it..like the throttle opens and then closes again. Now, I'm thinking maybe an EGR problem? I was originally thinking my TPS but I don't see how it could be affected by engine temp, etc... I doubt I have the means to even test any thoughts, but I figure what the hell? Thanks guys.
