Progress as planned...

Well I managed to seal the trans pan up this past weekend. What a PITA it was. I've never seen a pan so prone to leak like the one on my car. Anyway, on Thursday I will be installing the Harmonic balancer repair sleeve and a new front seal. If there is time I will flush my radiator as its puking some nasty crap into the overflow tank. I also noticed that my steering gear is leaking -- BAD. No puddles but the underside of it and my sway bar is soaked with fluid. I will be going to the yards soon to get one. My question is... Did the Z-28's receive a better steering gear (performance ratio steering Box)? Or are they all the same?

Yep, they got a better box, look for the "WS6" or "Y87" RPO codes in the console box. Or, better yet, if the car has the Wonderbar, it's probably got the box. Look on the box for the casting numbers "26000525" and a "Z".
