Pointless post #14386...
I've kept in touch with Summit and for the little catback incident, they're taking $25 off my next order! Thats a hell of a lot of money! I'm happy about that.. Also, today I was fiddling with my little ram air thing and I added a scoop to it and took the car around the block for the hell of it during my break at work. Backed out and looked to my right, it was a guy with a dark blue IROC sitting there..I put the car in Drive, and floored it on an ice cold engine. Car spun the tire and went sideways a few feet through the parking lot..Hauled more *** than ever. I pulled back in and the guy complimented me! Know what he had? A 350...a BUILT and WORKED 350. 12.8 quarters. And HE complimented my nearly stock self.. Ohhh yeaaah...talk about a good day.

Damn, I wish Jeg's woulda done something like that for me. Twice they sent me parts that didn't fit my car. After the second one, I said I just want a refund, but they still kept my "handling charge". And it took 'em like 2 weeks to issue a refund. I won't buy anything else from them.

Here's how it went, I saw they had a 100-amp alternator for like $99. The catch: it said like 74-87 chevy cars. So I call and say, "I've got an 88 camaro, will this thing fit?" The guy says "yeah, it's just that this one is for a v-belt, and you've got a serpentine. So you'll just have to swap off the pulleys" No biggie, so I order it, and take it to my engine performance class to swap the pullies and install the new alternator. My teacher looks at it and says "that won't work, it's not for a computer controlled car. Plus, it won't fit, it's not gonna have enough clearance in the back. So I call them and the person I talk to says "of course that won't fit. we'll have UPS pick it up." So I tell them that I'll just exchange it and get a set of accel wires. So I give them the part number for a v-8 so I'll have two extra wires. A few days later I start thinking that maybe I gave them the part number for the 2nd gen camaro. So I call back to double check, and the guy says, "oh yeah, those'll fit, don't worry about it". So I get the wires and open up the box. Sure enough, the boots for the distributor cap are for an HEI cap, not mine. So I call 'em and tell 'em, I just want a full refund. O.k., so they pick it up and a few weeks later I get a refund for all except their "handling" charge. At that point I was so fed up with them that I didn't even bother to call to try and get it back. I figure that's all the money they'll ever make off of me.
