Transmission cooler

I was looking through the Summit catalog today and saw a tranny cooler that fits in the frame rail, and I thought, that might be a good cheap way to help keep my tranny alive a bit longer. It doesn't look like it would have much air getting to it, especially if it's in the frame rail like I was thinking. Any comments on this idea? If I remember right, it was only about 20-30 dollars so it wouldn't be horrible if it didn't work well, but I'd feel better having some type of cooler on there.
